No one loves to race as much as Stripes do. Check out the planned lineups:
April:
Three Riverside men’s doubles from the High-Performance Group will compete in Olympic trials in Sarasota, FL, while Amel Younis (representing Palestine) will do so in the Men’s singles event at the Asian Olympic Qualifier event in South Korea. The Juniors will race at the Saratoga Invitational. Riverside’s own Crusher Casey regatta will officially open the season, complete with new hull dedications.
May:
Pending the outcome of Olympic trials, athletes may progress to the final Olympic Qualifier in Lucerne, Switzerland. The Juniors will race at Northeast Regionals in Lowell for a chance to qualify for Junior Nationals.
June:
Women’s Sweeps will race in the Wargrave Cup at Henley Royal Regatta in the U.K. Pending the outcome of regionals, some Juniors may race in Junior Nationals in Sarasota, Florida. Men’s Masters may compete at the Festival Regatta in Lowell and the Rockland Masters Regatta in Rockland, NY.
July:
High Performance will attend Senior trials in New Jersey to compete for spots on the Senior National Team for the 2024 World Rowing Championships. Various squads plan to race at Independence Day regatta in Philly and possibly at Sweeps and Sculls in Providence, RI. Some crews may attend the Rowfest U.S. National Championships in Oklahoma City. And, of course, Riverside’s own Cromwell Cup here on the Charles is a huge draw across the squads. (Date announced! July 21st)
August:
Pending the outcome of senior trials, High Performance Group athletes may compete at World Championships in St. Catherine’s Ontario. Just prior to that, St. Catherine’s will host Canadian Henley and welcome Men’s and Women’s Masters Sweeps for the Masters events. Then, the Juniors and some of the High Performance Group will race at the open and junior events. Men’s Masters Sweeps may race at Quinsigamond Sprints in Lowell.
