The high performance group competed at the USRowing Spring Speed orders and Trials 1 and 2 in April and May of this year.
Many athletes represented Riverside at these races and competed against some of the fastest scullers in the country for spots on the US National team.
In the first Trials competition, Riverside athletes competed for the men’s and women’s lightweight single and the women’s heavyweight single. Notable final finishes were those of Hillary Saeger (5th place, women’s lightweight single “A” final) and Charles Bickhart and Ashton Knight (2nd and 4th place in the Men’s lightweight single “B” final, respectively).
In the second trials competition, Riverside athletes competed for the men’s and women’s lightweight double.
