Who is that person in stripes?
The RBC directory is now live with over 100 updated member profiles! Is yours one of them? The password protected directory is open to all paid RBC members and is a great source of information. In addition to member profiles, it includes an up to date RBC calendar, meeting minutes, descriptions and membership lists for all of the RBC programs and committees, contact information so you can get involved and share your talents, and many helpful links. This is not another social networking site; you can’t friend or poke anyone. The purpose is improving club operations. Members can choose what information they would like to share but minimally we would like a name, photo, email address, and any current committee memberships.
Gaining access to the directory and updating your profile is easy and should take fewer than 5 minutes following the 3 simple instructions below.
1. Go to groupspaces.com, click sign in in the upper right corner of the page and follow the directions to create an account. You should use the email address of record with the club to match it with your profile — you can change it later.
2. GroupSpaces will send you an email to verify your address, click on the link in the email to do so. This will take you to a page where you will see Riverside Boat Club under “my groups”.
3. Click on “edit my membership” to fill out your profile and you are done. Voila, you have created your own profile and have access to see other members.
All paid RBC members (supporting, provisional, senior, cox) should have received an email (or two) from Todd Milne but spam filters sometimes get in the way. If you are a paid member and did not receive an email invitation or have problems connecting with the club through GroupSpaces, please contact Todd at email@example.com.
